Shipwreck Cove:
Our new secret spot :P
I Llove our adventures… :]
As I’m driving along PCH, I roll down my window and in comes a comforting scent, the beach. Sniff-sniff. Sniff-sniff. The teasing smell of salty water goodness, cheap acidic suntan lotion, and burning charcoals on barbeque grills leave my nose sniffing for more. I can already feel the sand in between my toes. It’s like I’m back at my home town.
I haven’t been to the beach since 2 summers ago. I love the beach, the beach is my spot! It’s where I could always go recharge my inner energy while have a blast at the same time. Today when I opened my front door to get the mail, this wave of heat rushed in and onto me and I said to myself, today would be a nice day to go to the beach... Then I asked myself. Why not then? I am off today… Immediately after I finish lunch, put on some board shorts (oh how nice it feels to wear these again!), and eagerly get into my car and drive down Brookhurst Street. After I park and walk down the main street towards the pier, I look around to the shops, restaurants, and people all over wearing board shorts / bikinis; something clicks. I feel strangely at home and that’s when I realized my old beach bum side came out. I am not gonna lie, I really miss these days so much. I’m totally a white washed Asian in disguise… Seeing all the surfers, volley ball players, and beach cruisers really showed so much life here today at the beach (when I thought it’s winter and it’ll be dead) and I wish I could be more apart of this. I feel, alive to be here. I then ask myself, where have I been…?
I’ve missed having sand in all the wrong places :P

LA Travel Show: 01/14/11
where to even start? Well I surprised my friends by taking them to this convention about traveling which had all these interesting booths from all parts of the world handing out fliers and free stuff. And on top of that there were activities we could do like rock climbing, indoor scuba diving, zip lining, walking on water in hamster balls, and more all for free! :] It was an awesome experience and I’m glad I got to do it with my adventure buddies :] I love them to death! They are the reason why I am so hungry for adventure all the time :] I usually go on adventures with each of them separately so I thought today I could surprise them by bringing them together on one mega adventure! They were all so scared and nervous at first since I usually inform them what’s going on but today all they knew was that we were going to get wet, climb walls, and have lots of fun. One-by-one as I picked them up in the morning they were so surprised to see each other and anxious to see where we were going. I’m glad it turned out a success :D ADVENTURE is out there!
So this is what it feels like to be alive…
Now that’s a great adventure to start the year off >:]

DAYGLOW LA:
My group of friends hold onto this railing for our dear lives sending death glares at everyone behind us trying to get in between us. After awhile, I whip my arm back to send a “polite” message to the dumb bitches behind us, that I will hit you if you keep this up. Never in my life had I ever been so mean at these kinds of event but tonight, I had to fight for our front row spots at DayGlow and let me tell you, this is where all the action happens!
After this annoying countdown to when the paint party was going to start, we were quite disappointed by how little paint we got on our end of the stage. At first to be honest, I didn’t expect us to be in much paint since we were in the right side corner-ish of the stage. We all felt neglected and I could see it on everyone’s faces, I want some paint… Us all watching the people in the middle get painted on, then watching people from the middle back getting splattered by paint thrown from the second floor balcony, we then became hopeless and desperate for a single drop of paint. As soon as I turn to give my friend the hopeless look, a guy with a giant bucket filled of paint comes and splashes it on everyone in my area. I reach into the bucket, grab as much paint as I could and whip it back onto my group of friends’ face / hair and now, Game On! As soon as that paint party started, everyone who once was mean is now all of a sudden friendly and making up by help splattering paint on each other. It went from being a hostile environment to a painting love feast! LOL We got to be on so many cameras shots, I’m positive we’re going to be in one of the clips! >:D R3HAB tore the house up… OMG! It was nonstop back to back hard hitter songs! I was that beat and tired from dancing T_T LOL but it was a fucking amazing time. I haven’t had that much fun in such a long time. R3HAB you are definitely my 3rd favorite DJ <3 What a rush…
ADVENTURE, is out there!
Gorilla Challenge: Long Beach 11/12/11
As we all gather around outside of Rock Bottom’s Brewery, we stand anxiously waiting for further instruction. We stand for what seems like 10 long silent minutes waiting, waiting, and waiting; all of us not sure what’s going to happen in a matter of minutes when the race begin. All I remember after that, is as soon as the announcer said, “make your way to the tent, a block down this street to get your clue sheet. Only team leaders can pick these up,” I see all 180 faces light up and slowly moves towards that direction. Some I see look frightened, backing away from the soon-to-be-charing malicious-like crowd (Is this really happening?). READY. Some, once very friendly people we took pictures with earlier, I see have their game faces thrown on now, ready to push through anyone in front of them (OMG, this is as real as it gets). GET SET. I take my stand, determined to—GO! (Oh shit…) And we’re off!
Gorilla Challenge is very similar to The Amazing Race, except for it’s not as intense (thank god it was only within a 5 mile radius). We weren’t allowed to use cars, bikes, horses, or any sort of space ships except for public shuttles. We ran and ran and ran for what seemed like a marathon across Downtown Long Beach, looking frivolously for our answers and participating in numerous challenges. I wonder how people must’ve thought of all of us in our outrageous costumes running across town like maniacs. LOL We had a lot of love and support from the citizens of Long Beach and it felt nice to have people cheering us on as we ran by like as if we were apart of some amazing race (Oh wait…!). Everyone in my team asked me where do I have all this energy, like seriously I was quite surprised to see myself running and cheering everyone on the whole day. Like a whole new side of me was unleashed. We all came together and worked as a whole team and in the end it paid off. We placed top 10 out of 66 teams and 180 people racing today. I am very impressed and proud with my team. We all hung in there and kept pushing each other to keep going. Jenn, Jade, Brian & Lucky were really great at cracking down the riddles within minutes. And with my great sense of direction, I felt like I planned our stops out efficiently and guided my team through some helpful “shortcuts” ;P I haven’t felt this kind of team work in such a long time. It felt amazinggg!
I was not out to win the challenge today but during the whole day, I couldn’t help but feel like we could win this… We placed 10 / 66! :D That is pretty legit and amazing to even say so I am very proud of us. Today has got to be my favorite Adventure yet and I’m so glad my friends & I were apart of the Gorilla Challenge’s first ever event in Long Beach. THE SUPER TEAM, FTW! Until next time… ;]
To the memories I’ll never forget <3
Adventure is out there!
Tomato Battle: 2011
It was quite an interesting experience :] So much energy in the air, I loved it! The only bad thing about the event was that the tomatoes they used were old and rotten. It smelt like throw up! T_T but once you get past the smell, it’s mighty F.U.N. >:3 I love my adventure times :]
